Geschiedenis

The inaugural meeting was convened by the Loyal Orange Institution of NSW, and included representatives from the major Protestant denominations and associations. The aim was to organise a common organization to counteract Catholic action or other action by political or sectarian minorities. They were also opposed to Communism. From 1953 onwards they were known as the Protestant Council of NSW. The final meeting was held in 1967, and the Council was dissolved by the executive on 15th December 1974.
