Biographical history
J.E. Jones graduated with the Th.L. from Moore College in 1957 and the BD from London University in 1963. He was ordained priest in 1958. He served as curate in Gladesville and Canley Vale. He served in Sabah as a missionary with CMS from 1965-1966, then served as a chaplain with the Royal Australian Navy between 1967 and 1988. From 1988-1999 he was Rector of St Philip's Church, Sydney, then as part time Assistant Minister at St Matthew's Church, Manly. He was awarded the Order of Australia in 1985.
