Jean Arnot Memorial Luncheon Awardees

Photographs and biographical details of awardees at the Jean Arnot Memorial Luncheon, organised by the National Council of Women of NSW and the Federation of Business and Professional Women of Australia and supported by the State Library of NSW. This Luncheon honours ladies in their 90th year or over 90 who have contributed in a variety of ways to their communities to improve the status of women. Jean Arnot, MBE, FLAA, was an Australia librarian, trade unionist, activist for equal pay for women and feminist. She worked at the State Library of New South Wales from 1921 until her retirement in 1968.
