W.G. Broughton to Sir John Coleridge, 16th August 1845

Informs Sir John Coleridge that Bishop Broughton is sending him a copy of a letter sent also to Sir George Gipps, on the subject of the subdivision of his bishopric. Also requests Sir John to pass on to his brother Edward, Broughton's thanks for sending him some books from the library of Archdeacon Bailey.

W.G. Broughton to William Boydell, 26th June 1846

Informs Boydell that he has paid a promissory note to the Bank of Australasia on his behalf and is sending him a cheque. Suggests that Boydell should contribute to a subscription which is being raised for a testimonial to Sir George Gipps on his departure from the colony. Informs Boydell that he is going to Parramatta on his way to Windsor and Richmond.

Expresses concern at not having heard from her and hopes that she and Phoebe and Phoebe's child have not had an uncomfortable journey. Reports on his social engagements and news of friends. Intends to visit her soon and suggests that he could use visit to baptise Phoebe's baby.
