Prayer and the Christian - unpublished treatise on prayer
This document was produced during Chapman’s time as Director of Christian Education, Armidale Diocese. It reveals, among other things, Chapman’s early influences by Reformed scholars, an ability for synthetic theological reflection, and a concern for disciplined Christian prayer.

This compendium of files demonstrates Chapman’s wide prayer concerns and commitments until the 4th Quarter of 2012. Chapman noted prayer requests as complete and marked these with a tick against the request. The compendium also demonstrates the international breadth of Chapman’s ministry and ministry partnerships. He regularly prayed for Reformed evangelical leaders in England (Palmer, Lucas, Taylor, Tice), South Africa (Retief), North America (Hughes), Asia (Clarke), Australia (Jensen, Cook, Peterson, Moore College Faculty), Armidale diocesan leaders (Lewers, Chiswell), AFES leaders (Chin, Chiswell), and CMS Mission Partners. The age of the compendium and its photos is indicative of long-held practice.
Collected prayer leaflets from the Invalid Members' Prayer Circle (MU England), Invalid Prayer Circle (MU Australia), Intercessory Prayer Circle (MU Australia).
Prayer letters (some called 'Prayer Fuel') sent to TCF members.
Prayer letters distributed during missionary service
This series contains prayer letters sent by Mary Andrews to CMS to be distributed to supporters, written between 1947 and 1951 during her time in China; and also letters and drafts of letters written for publication in the CMS "Round World" magazine, with an intended audience of children.
These letters are intended for a praying audience, and contain particulars of Mary Andrews' life and ministry in China as well as devotional commentary and descriptions of her state of mind, health, encouragement, and other concerns.
The prayer-letters in this series had been previously set apart and placed in acid free folders. New series numbers have since been added and fasteners replaced with plastic paper-clips, but no other changes have been made.
The published versions of some of the "The Round World" articles have been placed in series 13.
This series was originally combined with Series 6.
