'But when Jesus heard it, he answered Him, saying, Fear not: believe only and she shall be made whole.' Theme: Belief rewarded. Considers the rulers faith, how it was tried, operated and rewarded. Concludes that everyone must expect trouble so let it drive them to Jesus.

Watermark 1815? 'And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all.' Theme: The Benevolence of Christ. Considers the analogy between Christ's miracles and spiritual blessings and how this relates to what will be done with our deceased souls, and endeavours to improve on the text to illustrate the direction that should betaken. Concludes with a reference to the state of those who touched him.

Watermark 1830. 'But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias...and for all the evils which Herod had done...' Theme: Sin. Considers the power of sin and the malignity of inflicting misery and ruin. Discusses his belief that the Scriptures should not be read as history only because it does not reveal the 'heart' of God's word.

Unfinished. Watermark 1808. 'And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in Paradise.' Theme: Judgement Day. Considers the 'Thief's Petition' for Christ's mercy and the Lords answer in granting him the petition. Concludes by bringing attention to the approaching 'Day of Reckoning' and its resulting judgement. Outer page is related to the Sabbath, and the congregations 'improper state'. An addition to the above sermon.

Considers in what respect Christ is the consolation of Israel and in what manner we are to wait for him. Concludes with a reference to Christ's redemption of us to God and the consolation we derive from it.

Outlines the events surrounding the birth of Christ with reference to the prophecies leading up to the event. Concludes with a warning to those who gratify their 'carnal lusts' and praise of those who embrace Jesus.
