Selwood, Frederick James

Frederick James Selwood was born in Martock, Somerset, and married his first wife in Ampthill, Bedfordshire at the age of 24. They had 2 children, Rita (b. 1904) and Kenneth (b. 1910). He served as a missionary in Japan and married his second wife Dorothy on 26th June 1920. They moved to Australia in 1941 and Frederick served as the minister of St Phillip's Church in Cowes, Phillip Island. He also preached at other churches around Melbourne. He died on 4th November 1944 from stomach cancer and is buried in Bald Hills Cemetery.

Worldwide Church of God

Herbert W. Armstrong founded the Radio Church of God in Eugene, Oregon, and broadcast church services. In 1968 it was renamed the Worldwide Church of God. Its key teachings were a rejection of the doctrine of the Trinity and various attempts to predict the date of the second coming of Christ. It also emphasised full immersion baptism. In 2007 its name changed to Grace Communion International.

Dillon, Frederick Henry Barnier

F.H.B. Dillon studied at Moore College and graduated in 1924 with the Licenciate in Theology. He was ordained deacon in 1924 and priest in 1925. After working as curate at St Andrew's Summer Hill, he spent 2 years with the Bush Church Aid Society. From 1926-1928 he was priest-in-charge in Willochra, and in 1928 was deputationist for BCA. He worked in parish ministry in various Sydney parishes until 1946 when he moved to Adelaide to become rector of Holy Trinity Church, Adelaide. In 1952 he became rector of St Clement's Mosman, and retired in 1959 and died the same year. He married Doris Percival in 1928.

Jobling, William Jeffree

W.J. (Bill) Jobling studied at Sydney University and Moore College, and was ordained in 1964. After working at Cranbrook School, he gained a PhD from Sydney University and was appointed to their full time teaching staff. He researched and wrote extensively on Semitic and theological studies, and undertook archaeological expeditions to the Middle East.
