The Sydney College of Divinity is a consortium of theological colleges. It was formed in 1983 with six member institutions, when the Bachelor of Theology course was accredited. The SCD was approved by the Commonwealth Government as a higher education provider in 2004.

The New University Colleges Council was formed as a company limited by guarantee and held its first meeting on 13th September 1960. It arose from an informal group known as the 'Halls of Residence Committee', inspired by residential university colleges in the UK. The first committee included Broughton Knox, Dr Lawrence Lyons and Edwin Judge. One of the first colleges was New College at UNSW.

The NSW Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society was formed in 1817 due to the influence of Lachlan and Elizabeth Macquarie. The first committee included 52 men, all of whom were leading citizens and who were also founding members of the Bank of New South Wales. The Auxiliary operated independently, but under the leadership of the Commonwealth Secretary when that committee was formed in 1925.

The Bible Society in Australia (Western Australia) was formerly the Western Australian Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society. It became a state department of the Bible Society in Australia on incorporation in 1976.

Melbourne University Christian Alliance was formed on the 23rd March 1896. It became a member of the Australian Student Christian Movement and began calling itself the Melbourne University Student Christian Movement on the 23rd March 1932.

Due to the influence of Dr Howard Guinness, a portion of the medical branch of the Melbourne University Christian Union broke away and formed the Melbourne University Evangelical Union [Committee minutes of MUCU, May 16th 1930].
