Prayer Book Society in Australia (NSW branch)
The Australian Branch was inaugurated on 1st March 1980. The Prayer Book Society in Australia was formed in 1983, with branches in NSW, South Australia and Victoria with Bishop Lionel Renfrey as patron, a sister society to those in England, Scotland, Canada, U.S.A and South Africa.

H.N. Powys studied at Moore College from 1914-1916 and was ordained priest in 1917. He served as Rector in Picton, Penrith, Emu Plains, Annandale, Neutral Bay and Rose Bay/Vaucluse. From 1943-1948 he was the honorary clerical organising secretary at Moore College. From 1950-1957 he was Rural Dean of East Sydney. In 1951 he was appointed a Canon of St Andrew's Cathedral.
B. Ward Powers is a graduate of Moore College, and has served on the faculty of Moore College and Sydney Missionary and Bible College. He received a PhD from the University of London.
Noel Pollard was lecturer and librarian at Moore College. From 1967-1973 he was Master of New College at the University of New South Wales. He also served as the Sydney Diocesan Archivist.
