Jobling, William Jeffree

W.J. (Bill) Jobling studied at Sydney University and Moore College, and was ordained in 1964. After working at Cranbrook School, he gained a PhD from Sydney University and was appointed to their full time teaching staff. He researched and wrote extensively on Semitic and theological studies, and undertook archaeological expeditions to the Middle East.

Rook, William Noel

William Noel Rook studied at Moore College from 1924 and graduated with the Th.L. in 1926. He was ordained priest in 1927 and served in Chatswood, Willochra, Hornsby, Lane Cove, Rockdale, Canterbury and Epping. He was one of the "Memorialists" in 1938. From 1941-1945 he served as a chaplain with the AIF. In 1965 he was appointed Honorary Canon of St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney.

Godden, Eva May

Eva May Dearin was born in Sydney and attended Fort Street Public School. She married Charles Christopher Godden in December 1905 and accompanied him to New Hebrides (Vanuatu). After his death in 1906, she returned to Sydney and lived with Rev Arthur Smith, Rector of St Paul's Church Bankstown, and his family. Her daughter Ruth was born in 1907. Eva had a long involvement with the Girl Guides Association and the St John's Ambulance Nursing Cadet Corps. From 1927 onwards she was the organist at St Paul's Bankstown, and also served as Superintendent of the Sunday School. She taught Scripture in local schools. In 1931 she established the First Bankstown company of Girl Guides.

Bellenger, Christopher

Chris Bellenger was a member of Sydney University Evangelical Union from 1962-1967, serving as Treasurer in 1963. Her served on the Intervarsity Fellowship Australia Executive Committee from 1967-1977. He served as chairman of AFES from 1983-1989.
