Outback Patrol is an evangelistic organisation founded by Les Nixon in 1961. They coordinate small teams of volunteers to travel by plane to outback communities and conduct evangelistic meetings with music, drama and puppet shows.

English barrister E.P. Field preached regularly in Martin Place, Sydney. He formed the NSW Prayer Band in 1892. In 1913 the name was changed to NSW Evangelistic Prayer Band. In 1922 the name was changed to Open Air Campaigners. In 1982 the Australian branches changed their name to “OAC Ministries,” reflecting their desire to present the message in more culturally attuned ways, and to work together with churches in Outreach And Church ministries.

NSW Temperance Alliance

The NSW Temperance Alliance was founded in 1876 by Rev F.B. Boyce, Rector of Holy Trinity, Orange. Initially called The Alliance, they campaigned for Sunday closing of hotels, temperance lessons in schools and local option. When Rev Boyce moved to Sydney, he continued the work under the name Local Option League, then the Prohibition League, and finally the NSW Temperance Alliance. The patron was the Archbishop of Sydney, and the executive committee included representatives from the major Protestant denominations, as well as the Business Women's Temperance League, the Independent Order of Rechabites and the Women's Christian Temperance Union. Archdeacon R.B.S. Hammond was also a prominent member and President 1928-1931. It is now known as the Drug Awareness Council.

New University Colleges Council

The New University Colleges Council was formed as a company limited by guarantee and held its first meeting on 13th September 1960. It arose from an informal group known as the 'Halls of Residence Committee', inspired by residential university colleges in the UK. The first committee included Broughton Knox, Dr Lawrence Lyons and Edwin Judge. One of the first colleges was New College at UNSW.

New South Wales Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society

The NSW Auxiliary of the British and Foreign Bible Society was formed in 1817 due to the influence of Lachlan and Elizabeth Macquarie. The first committee included 52 men, all of whom were leading citizens and who were also founding members of the Bank of New South Wales. The Auxiliary operated independently, but under the leadership of the Commonwealth Secretary when that committee was formed in 1925.

National Youth Department

National Council of Churches in Australia

The Australian Council of Churches was formed out of the Australian Committee of the World Council of Churches. In 1994 the name was changed to the National Council of Churches in Australia. Initially a Protestant body, the Eastern and Oriental Orthodox Churches joined in the 1960s, and the Catholic Church became a full member in 1994.
