Noel Pollard was lecturer and librarian at Moore College. From 1967-1973 he was Master of New College at the University of New South Wales. He also served as the Sydney Diocesan Archivist.

B. Ward Powers is a graduate of Moore College, and has served on the faculty of Moore College and Sydney Missionary and Bible College. He received a PhD from the University of London.

H.N. Powys studied at Moore College from 1914-1916 and was ordained priest in 1917. He served as Rector in Picton, Penrith, Emu Plains, Annandale, Neutral Bay and Rose Bay/Vaucluse. The Australian Branch was inaugurated on 1st March 1980. The Prayer Book Society in Australia was formed in 1983, with branches in NSW, South Australia and Victoria with Bishop Lionel Renfrey as patron, a sister society to those in England, Scotland, Canada, U.S.A and South Africa.

The Presbyterian Church in Australia was formed shortly after Federation when Presbyterian churches from different states came together. Two-thirds of the churches joined the Uniting Church in 1977. The church is governed by elders, who meet with the minister at a local level at the Kirk Session. The national General Assembly meets every three years. Presbyterianism is part of the Reformed tradition within Protestantism.
