Isaiah 45:23-25

Watermark 1809. 'I have sworn by myself...that unto me every knee shall bow every tongue shall swear...' Theme: Redemption. To illustrate this oath considers its subject matter and accomplishment. Encourages subjects of the Redeemer's kingdom to rejoice.

Revelation 3:2

June 1815, watermark 1808. 'Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before God.' Theme: Judgement. Discusses when it may be said that the things which remain in use are ready to die and the Apostle's advice to persons in such a state. Concludes with a word to those who have always been faithful to God and those who have no claim at all.

John White - Land grant and appended wafer seal

Land grant signed by Governor Lachlan Macquarie, assigning 30 acres of land in the District of Airds, to John White. Dated 17th August 1819. Manuscript note on verso, advising that the quit rent for the land had been redeemed on the 18th February 1834. The note is signed Wm. Macpherson, Coll. Int. Revenue, and dated 16th December 1836.
This land was sold to Thomas Moore on 4th October 1821 and became part of the Bishop's Farm property purchased by Stanley Reeve from the Trustees of the Estate of Thomas Moore in 1943.

Dear Friend
Since I wrote to you on the 9th of Dec. Last I have not had any safe opportunity of the sale of the farm and Cattle. Andrew called on us on Wednesday last, not having been in London for some time; looks remarkably well & in good health; told us there was a friend of his going out to New South Wales, that we could send a letter to you with safety: I have therefore sent you Papers The drafs [sic] One for £160 -the other for £165: 13: 6 both of which I Receiv'd making together £325: 13: 6, which I gave to Maria my grand Daughter, and intend to do the same with what remains unsettled, when I receive it, which I am sure and satisfied you will get finished as soon as you can, I understand Governor Macquarie is not likely to return yet, but I hope it will not be long before we shall have the
pleasure of seeing you and Mrs. Moore here, who [??] your very sincere and much oblig'd friend and Humble Servt.

PS: My family all Join me in best best [sic] respects to Mrs. Moore and any enquiring friends My daughter Bass writes to you by this conveyance.
