The Mission Zone Fund was founded in 1902 by R.B.S. Hammond, to support the welfare of people in the inner city area. It was merged into the Anglican Home Mission Society (now Anglicare) in 1911.

The Mothers' Union was founded in 1876 in England by Mary Sumner, a vicar's wife who organised a group of mothers to help each other in their responsibilities as wives and mothers, and understand the significance of the sacrament of baptism and the teaching of faith to their children. It became a diocesan organization in 1885 within the diocese of Winchester, and quickly spread overseas. It was the first women's organisation to be granted a Royal Charter in 1926. The Mothers' Union in Australia was first formed in 1892 by Mrs L'Oste, wife of the Rector of Christ Church, Cullenswood, Tasmania. Diocesan branches in Sydney and Melbourne were set up in 1896. Australia was the first overseas province to be granted autonomy on 27th November 1974. The Patron is Her Majesty the Queen, and the Patron in Chief is the Governor-General.The Mothers' Union in Australia is governed by the Australian Council which meets once every eighteen months, and consists of the Executive Council, the Diocesan Presidents and Life Vice Presidents. The Executive Council is the working body and meets annually. The Mothers' Union publishes Mia Mia magazine, previously known as Mothers in Australia and then Mothers in Australia and New Zealand. The departments include Caritas, Promotion & Development, Education, Mia Mia, Overseas and Northern Outreach, Prayer and Spirituality, Publication and Social Responsibility.

Born in 1887, Edward Francis Nicholson [Frank] Cash graduated from Moore Theological College in 1913 and obtained an M.A. (Honours in Philosophy) from Sydney University in 1922. He was the Rector of Christ Church, North Sydney from 1922 and Registrar of the Australian College of Theology from 1945 to 1961. He and his wife, Violet Elizabeth, donated The John Francis Cash Memorial Chapel to Moore Theological College, completed in 1950. He was a keen amateur photographer and the only one to be permitted onto the construction site of the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and took photographs throughout the building process. His photographs also include images of his family: his wife Elizabeth, son John who joined the RAAF and was killed in action in 1941, and three daughters Mary, Miriam and Elizabeth.

The Teachers Christian Fellowship was established in June 1935, as a complementary organisation to the Inter-Schools Christian Fellowship which had also just been formed under the auspices of Scripture Union. A Scripture Union girls staff worker Heather Drummond called a meeting of interested teachers to form the TCF. The purpose of the fellowship was to link together Christian teachers for prayer and fellowship. TCF members held house parties, developed a resource library, and joined evangelistic programs ran by SU and ISCF. In 1948 an interstate TCF conference was held, and a national Australian TCF was formed in conjunction with the Inter-Varsity Fellowship. ATCF published a journal, the Journal of Christian Education. In 1976 ATCF decided to separate from IVF/AFES. in the 1980s a travelling staff worker for TCF NSW was appointed, in co-operation with Scripture Union. TCF NSW continues to promote a Christian perspective in education and support Christian teachers.
